Backpacks Are Coming Back, Too!

It's not just nature giving us signs that summer is winding down. Central Kitsap students return to school on August 31, which means our neighborhood streets will soon be getting a little busier in the mornings and afternoons.

As everyone settles back into the school routine, please keep an extra eye out for children and families walking through the neighborhood around intersections, crosswalks, and bus stops. And here's a friendly reminder for all of us behind the wheel: the speed limit throughout Parkwood East is 25 mph. Those extra few seconds spent slowing down can make a big difference!

So as the backpacks come back out and the morning routines begin again, let's help our youngest neighbors get where they're going safely.
